Attendance policies help with automating employee overtime and undertime based on their schedules which is linked with their remuneration. Go to ‘Attendances’ > ‘Attendance Policies’ and click on ‘Create’. Add title under ‘Name’ along with its description. The title should be self-explanatory since it would be referenced in employee profiles.
Select the type of policy applicable for this attendance rule. The options available here are ‘undertime’ and ‘overtime’. The purpose of ‘undertime’ is to debit amount from employee’s salary if the login time is less than the scheduled time whereas ‘overtime’ credits amount in employee’s salary if the login time is more than the scheduled time of an employee. Once the policy is created and assigned to an employee, it will make automatic calculations within the employee payroll.
You do have an option to not assign any attendance policy to an employee. In case of overtime in that scenario, HR can make manual overtime entry for the employee through ‘Overtime Records’ under ‘Employees’.
